Based in Poulton-le-Fylde, Green Oak Recycling Ltd is ideally situated to provide cost effective solutions for material recycling for all of the North West.
For over a decade, Green Oak Recycling has provided excellent service to all its customers. The business was started by our Managing Director, Peter Counsell, in a small area of a friend’s warehouse, with a small mill sized upright baler. From here the company has grown through organic growth, usually via customers recommendations.
Today we handle upwards of 300 tonnes of Cardboard per month. Each tonne of Cardboard is recycled via our closed loop system, saving hundreds of kilos of Carbon for every tonne we handle. Making 1 tonne of new cardboard from trees emits 538 kilos of CO2 into the atmosphere. Recycling cardboard only uses 75% of the energy needed to make new cardboard and saves hundreds of kilos of CO2.
Green Oak Recycling has diversified into other recyclable material:
- Hard and soft plastics, which are all sent to processing sites in England, thus reducing the companies Carbon emissions.
- The shredding, and recycling, of confidential office waste paper. The baled, shredded paper is then sent Paper Mills in the United Kingdom, again helping to reduce the companies Carbon emissions.
